Description
Level Name: Sudrilund
World release: Wintertusk (Grizzleheim Part 2)
Project name: Wizard 101
Connected to the central hub in Wintertusk, Hrundle Fjord, Sudrilund is walled off from its neighboring territory by a large wooden gate, flanked on both sides by packs of fluffy, white, new-fallen snow. It is ruled by Sudri, a grand giant and son of Ymir, who connects with the bitter kiss of harsh winter.
Sudrilund is a blanket of white as far as the eye can see. Trees are encased in shards of ice, snowflakes twinkling off their over-stressed branches. Lakes frozen solid pepper a few clearings, surrounded by sharp treacherous mountainsides.
Members of the Coven have made Sudrilund their home, working to inspire the Everwinter in the eternally snow-covered realm. Being Ravens, the Coven prefer houses that are dark, wooden, and high up on cliff-sides. They are mystical beings and their homes pulse with a brackish magic.
Each clearing connects by wooden bridge, some treacherous and rickety, over open air, hanging off bits of broken land and cliffs. Eerie caves sprinkle the length of Sudrilund … home to what? No one is quite sure. Certainly not the Coven.
Each clearing and wooden bridge twists and turns to Sudri’s Throne, which he’s sealed tight with a terrifying gate. He prefers solitude, and only speaking with henchmen, so only the Coven is allowed to enter the enchanted gate.
The gate is made from the head of a giant red dragon and it’s unclear whether the beast ever lived, or if it’s merely an enchantment or mystical illusion. Large teeth jut from the gate and shiny red scales line its snarling face. Great horns adorn its head, and its eyes have a hypnotizing glow.
Beyond the Dragon Gate, sits Sudri on his open-air throne surrounded by knife-sharp icicles and deep piles of snow. And if anyone dares cross him not of the Coven, he’s at the ready to stomp on them with his mighty feet that are chilled to the bone.

Narrative
Having secured the key to Sudrilund from Freida Warsong in Vestrilund, The Wizard returns to Grandmother Raven, who sends them to seek the next Golden Seal from Sudri in Sudrilund, but not without a bit of warning. She cautions The Wizard that Sudri will be much less approachable than his brothers, Austri and Vestri, and to gain his audience they first must win over his loyal henchman, Ketil Blackheart.
Ketil Blackheart can be found in the second clearing in Sudrilund, just beyond a wooden bridge and small pond. Unfortunately, due to the Coven’s slow summoning of a dark winter on Wintertusk, Ketil informs The Wizard that the path continuing forward is blocked by a large, magical snow drift. They’ll need special tools and the proper knowledge of how to clear the mystical drift, for without both, it could cause utter destruction to Sudrilund.
Rather untrustworthy, Ketil Blackheart won’t just give up information without a fight. The Wizard is to prove their mettle to gain access to information about where to find the tools and the correct methods to clear the snowdrift.
After defeating Ketil Blackheart The Wizard is informed that he no longer possesses the tools needed to clear the snowdrift. Two of his followers, Harek the Lean and Ormund the Surly, aware of the wintery threat they were facing, absconded off with the tools to elsewhere in Wintertusk.
The Wizard must defeat Harek the Lean, who has hidden away with a pick in Hrundle Fjord, and Ormund the Surly, who’s taken up residence in Vestrilund with a shovel.
Upon returning to Ketil Blackheart, the Wizard is given all the information needed to avoid causing a massive avalanche and told to seek Thyra Brightspell who can be found just past a couple of bridges.
Thyra informs The Wizard that only Ravens can pass through Sudri’s tight security, his epic Dragon Gate. She will make The Wizard a potion to polymorph them into Raven form and fool the gate’s defenses if they collect the proper ingredients for her.
The Wizard collects Raven feathers from enemy Ravens wandering Sudrilund and Hemlock and returns to Thyra who uses the ingredients to make a potion in a cauldron that The Wizard will drink from. Once they drink from the cauldron they appear disguised as a Raven.
Once The Wizard enters Sudri’s Throne, Sudri is rather impressed, but also curious how they penetrated his Dragon Gate. Word has spread to Sudri, however, from his brothers, Austri and Vestri, that there is a Wizard seeking their Golden Seals, and he respects that they have won over his brothers. If The Wizard can do a few tasks for Sudri, he will also grant them his own Golden Seal.
For their first task, Sudri requests The Wizard gather him some of the most delicious apples in all of the land, Golden Apples from Vestrilund. The apples are guarded by a fierce warrior, Jorda, so they must deal with her first.
With the Golden Apples secured from Jorda, The Wizard returns to Sudri, who is most pleased, but he senses they think he’s lying about granting them his Golden Seal. Thus, he must give them one more task, to test the weight of his words in Hrundle Fjord. If his words are true, they will have weight, if they are not, then they will be light as a feather.
From weighing Sudri’s words, The Wizard finds Sudri is telling the truth and will keep his word and grant them his Golden Seal. Returning to Sudri in Sudrilund, he does indeed keep his word and grant them his Golden Seal.
