Merry’s parents taught her about hard work, both often working overtime. They always made time for family dinner, though, where they would make sure they all talked about their days together. If she ever needed anything or was feeling confused, upset, or overwhelmed, her parents would drop everything to be there for her.
EDUCATION:
Merry Misfit attended the best private schools growing up, which led to her enrollment in the film program at UCLA. She never completed her degree and dropped out of college to focus on becoming a full-time content creator.
HOBBIES:
Before it became her full-time job, content creation was her hobby. It’s something she always enjoyed doing for herself, so she was shocked when so many strangers connected deeply with her content. Her side hobbies, which somehow always make it onto her social media, are up-cycling thrifted garments, making unique jewelry, and make-up tutorials.

Beyond realizing her dream job as a social media influencer, Merry Misfit would like to settle down and have kids. Finding independence early, Merry Misfit’s parents trusted her to take care of herself, paying for an apartment for her not too far from UCLA’s campus. She had so many amazing experiences learning film at UCLA, and she uses a lot of what she was taught to create content.
She’ll always be thankful a friend introduced her to video games, as they’ve become a part of her stress relief.
Realizing she could drop out of college and support herself via social media, Merry faced a major decision in life; continue school or drop out and pursue a career.
When she got her first brand partnership, it was one of the greatest moments in her life and she felt like she finally made it. And now she’s jumped into a huge new opportunity … managing MP’s social media.

Content creation is mega unstable, so, like, I’m almost afraid I’ll lose all my followers and be cancelled and never achieve peak influencer status. Cancel culture is just the worst. I mean, your girl’s never done anything bad, but if someone totes hates you, they can find some lies to spin. Like the Spin Docta, baby …
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Ack, it comes with the job, but, like, I feel I may be a bit addicted to the likes, comments, subscribes, the interactions, good or bad. It sometimes makes me totes hate myself, but I really just love creating content. It just almost doesn’t feel like a job, just, like, living and loving life.

Ah, brah, I gotta say I hate chewing sounds, and just like sounds that interrupt my vibe. Like, I totes hate hearing other people’s headphones just blaring away when I’m trying to, like, video edit or something. Like, dude, just turn it down, brah. Wait, does that answer the question? I guess, maybe I don’t like people that don’t have respect for other peeps personal space when in public. Like, just let me live, brah.

Oh MY Gee! I have spent way too much coin on Moschino. It’s, like, totes my brand, brah. I’m gunnin’ for a sick endorsement deal with them … or something. Really just meeting Jeremy Scott would be chef’s kiss.

SO freakin’ excited! I cannot wait to slay this social media manager position for MP, and totes feed it into my own epic content for my stans. It’s going to be lit and my followers are gonna go B-A-N-A-N-A-S … bananas!

Virtue? Is that like, religious stuff? Sorry, brah, I’ve never been much of a church goer, and I’m not some fancy pants … smarty pants. This question just sounds too fancy for me – NEXT!

Hehe … HAH! Okay, so maybe don’t like share this around, but I’ve totes supported some brands or done deals with brands that I think are really not legit. Like those diet teas. I don’t even really drink them, but they pay influencers so well. I guess I feel a bit guilty for reppin’ things I don’t really believe in, but a girl’s gotta get paid.
What do you most dislike about your appearance?
Hrm, well as most influencers will tell you, my bod can never be tight enough, but I really just totes hate my eye color. I used to hate my hair texture, but I’ve grown to love its natural vibe. Doesn’t mean I don’t rock a wig now and then, still, but embracing the natural has freed me from that wig life. They are so itchy and hot sometimes! Not the vibe!
Which living person do you most despise?
Eek, that’s some serious wording. Despise? Probably no one. Dislike? Well, I’d say a childhood bully. He called me all sorts of nasty names, and just tormented me to no end because I looked different. Last I heard that troll was in prison, so I guess karma got the little toad.
What is the quality you most like in a man?
I like a quiet strength in a man, but of course, I also appreciate a brah with big muscles. I love a man that can bench press my little ol’ self. Tee-hee!
What is the quality you most like in a woman?
Confidence! I love a confident female that can rock a wild outfit or leewwk. A gal that can get on camera and just rock out and slay with all the good vibes.

OH MY GEE! Oop, probably that, and brah, and slay … influencer? Stans? There’s a lot of industry terms that I probably use, like, way too much and I don’t even realize it. Haha.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
I guess right now, I’d have to say my content creation is my greatest love. It gives me the ick to say, "myself" … but you do have to have like a certain confidence to be in the social media game. It’s okay to love yourself, right? Or be your own greatest love? I think that’s okay …
When and where were you happiest?
OH! When I got my first sponsored post I legit freaked out. It was a skateboard company and I don’t even skate, but they thought my look fit their vibe, so they told me to just film some content walking around and posing with the skateboard, their threads and other random things. So killer! Totes not my vibe, but killer!
Which talent would you most like to have?
Like, social media is one thing, but I’ve always wanted to be a legit actress. I’ve never done any training. I mean, I guess, I think I might have the right vibes. I might have to tone down my style, though, so maybe I’ll just stick to content creation. Still, I totes would love to be the next big starlet on the big screen. But yeah, I don’t know that I really have the chops.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Ack, I can be a bit OCD, like, not in a diagnosed way, but I guess just I have an obsessive personality. I mean, I’ve never been checked, maybe I do have OCD. Heh! But, like, I spend hours on social media a day creating content, and then just scrolling and commenting and engaging. It totes feels like almost an addiction and I kind of super dislike it. But it’s part of my job, so what can I do?
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Brah, I mean, have you seen my follower count? I think it speaks for itself. But for real, though, I am so proud of myself for building my own mini community over here in the world with so many amazing stans. Like, I never imagined I’d be getting sent free products, posting sponsored products, working with famous celebs. It’s just so vibes. All the vibes.
If you were to die and come back as a person or a thing, what would it be?
Sometimes I’m just like, it would be such chill vibes to come back as a cat. Just lay around, chase some birds, get some cuddles and pets. Wait? Does that count as an answer? Cats are living things … so they are things?
Where would you most like to live?
I LOVE my hometown, LA, I don’t know if there’s anywhere else I could see myself living. Maybe when I’m old and don’t care about being on anyone’s radar … find some super sweet Mexican resort and just live my best life there. Or Bora Bora. Something like that. Just give me a beach, and your girl is happy.
What is your most treasured possession?
Um, you know you’re talking to an influencer, it’s gotta be my phone, or maybe my iPad when I need some heavy lifting on the edits. Oh MY gee, that seems so shallow. I should be saying something like my grandma’s locket from wartimes, right? Haha!
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Oh, hrm, that’s not vibes, but probably being completely alone. Even when I’m alone, I have all my loyal followers to interact with, so I’m never completely alone. Not having social media, or my friends and family there, brah, I’d go bananas.

Oh, you’ve gotta know I’m totes living it! Being a content creator, influencer, and social media manager is just living my deepest fantasy.

All my friends have to have vibes, like fun, party time, but chill feels. And I really appreciate friends who feature on my channels. It’s just such a fun way to totes bond. My friends totes have to support my career choice. First I hear of anyone trashing my career choice, they are unfollowed and blocked.
Who are your heroes in real life?
Oprah is totes a huge hero of mine. She overcame so much and then built this epic empire, slayed life, and lived her biggest fantasy. I’m jelly, but I almost use her as my role model in life. I keep telling myself if she can do it, like, I can totes do it!

I tend to like drag queen names or social media tags. I’m a pretty big fan of my online name Merry Misfit. In case you didn’t clock it, Misfit isn’t my actual last name.
What is it that you most dislike?
People that don’t understand my job or say I’m lazy and unemployed. I work mega hard, brah. Like, I spend hours creating content, then I have to edit it, post it, find the right times for engagement, do a lot of research on how to stand out with the algorithms. It’s more than a full-time job. I’m legit almost filming my whole life.
What is your greatest regret?
Sometimes I’m supes paranoid that without a degree or trad career, I’ll have no path in life if the influencer thing doesn’t work out. I’m certain I’ll age out, but I try not to think about that. I guess it’s never too late for college or to reinvent yourself, right?
How would you like to die?
Epically. Like, I’d hate to just die all boring-like in my sleep or of cancer or something. I want to be on Leo’s yacht in a hurricane or something. Something silly, but epic, I guess. And I’d hope some news site would totes report on it.
