BackStory:

The many-headed Hydra is a scourge on the land of Achaea, chained deep within a cave far atop hill. Not only is it a fierce enemy, it has the unique ability to grow heads to replace others that are cut down. The chain that holds the Hydra is rife with magic, and the only thing that can keep the evils within the Labyrinth locked away for good. But it must be defeated by a worthy opponent first!

Location:

The Hydra is located in Achaea, in the Hydra Cave. It is featured in the quest "Hydra Phobia".

Combat mechanics:

The Ebon Head is removed from combat three times, when it reaches 75% health, 50% health, and 25% health. When the Ebon Head is removed from combat, the victory conditions change in battle from "Defeat Ebon" to "Defeat Scarlet, Defeat Amethyst, and Defeat Cobalt".
          Players must defeat one of each head to make the Ebon head reappear on the battle board.
          Once the Ebon head is defeated, all heads are despawned and combat is won.
          Each head also has a unique ability. Ebon head's unique ability is Caustic Rebuke, which causes poison damage to targets for three combat rounds. This fires when the head is attacked by an enemy, and will also place poison obstacles on the board in an AoE.

Unique Ability Animations:

The Ebon Head will need an animtion for appearing and disappearing on the battleboard.


For Caustic Rebuke, the Ebon Head must appear to spit poison upon it's enemies, and poison clouds will need to be summoned on the board.

Scarlet

  • Bonus melee sneak attack when flanking (max 3X per combat round)

Special Abilities:

Flame Repellent

  • Summons fire in an AoE, when a square with a
    fire is entered the target is damaged

When any Scarlet head is defeated, two more Scarlet heads are summoned until the Ebon Head is defeated.
          Players must defeat one Scarlet head each time the Ebon head is removed from combat to get the Ebon head to return.

          The Scarlet head has a unique ability Flame Repellent that summons fire in an AoE on the board. If an enemy enters any square with fire, they are damaged.

Unique Ability Animations:

The Scarlet head needs an animation for spitting fire on the board, as well as representative fire objects on the board.

Amethyst

          The Amethyst head has a unique ability Lightning Reflexes that summons storm clouds in an AoE on the board. These clouds affect LOS and Blind any enemy that enters the combat square it's spawned on.

Unique Ability Animations:

The Amethyst head needs an animation for spitting lightning on the board, as well as representative storm cloud objects on the board.
